Assembly
Before using your product, the upper shaft (7)
and lower shaft (9) need to be connected, and the
auxiliary handle (5) needs to be assembled and fitted.

Assembling the Upper and Lower Shaft

The shaft must be assembled on removal from the
carton. Remove the bag containing the two small
screws from the shaft.
Note: Before assembling the upper and lower shafts,
you will need to remove and discard the protective
packaging.
1. Insert the lower shaft (9) into the lower shaft port
(10) at the back of the edger where the wiring
is already connected. Carefully feed the wire
through the tube. (Fig A)
2. Align the holes and insert the longer supplied
screw through the shaft. (Fig B)
3. Use the lower shaft locking knob to secure the
lower shaft into position. Secure until finger tight.

4. Slide the upper shaft (7) over the lower shaft (9)
whilst aligning the holes. (Fig D)
5. Insert the shorter supplied screw through the
holes (Fig E), and then use the upper shaft locking
knob (8) to hold into position by securing finger
tight. (Fig F)
