Mounting and connecting the antenna

Two people are required to determine the optimal location of the antenna.
The R52u router is located in the communication distribution box. You can open the communication
distribution box with the corresponding key.
UV radiation can damage the cable insulation.
• Lay the cable in a suitable protective tube or cable duct.
Lightning Protection
Include the antenna into your lightning protection concept.
Procedure:
• Determining the optimal mounting location for the antenna
• Mounting the bracket and connecting the antenna
Determining the optimal mounting location for the antenna
1. Plug the cable plug into the terminal
"GSM/3G antenna" and screw together.
2. With the antenna on the outside of the MV station,
search for the location with the strongest possible
reception. In doing so, observe the LED display on
the front of the router:
☑ If 2 or 3 LEDs light up, the signal strength is
sufficient. The antenna can be mounted in this
location.
✖ If 0 or 1 LED light up,
the signal strength is not sufficient.
• Determine a new mounting location.
3. Disconnect the connection between the antenna and the router.
