10. Reinstall the front bezel.
11. Go to Chapter 4, "Completing the parts replacement," on page 49.

5. Press the drive latch ▌1▐ and slide the diskette drive or card reader out the
front of the chassis.
6. Remove the retainer bracket from the failing diskette drive or card reader and
install it on the new diskette drive or card reader.
7. Slide the new diskette drive or card reader into the drive bay until it snaps
into position.
8. Connect the signal cable and power cable to the new diskette drive. If you are
installing a card reader, connect the card reader cable to the card reader
connector on the system board. See "Identifying parts on the system board"
on page 10.
9. Reinstall the hard disk drive fan bracket if removed.
