NMS users should set the Alarm Status and Alarm Limits for each parameter as required for the specific
application when the NMS software is operated for the first time.
When the 9172D card is installed into an existing system already utilizing NMS system software, an upgrade
of the software will be necessary to add the 9172D card to the software database in the NMS software.
