Special function buttons

Surround

You can switch to surround mode in the following order
with the "MODE" button 23:
2 . 1 Stereo
Stereo only via front left/right and
subwoofer
5 . 1 Stereo
Stereo across all channels (upmix)
Dolby PLII Music
Dolby Pro Logic II Music mode
Dolby PLII Movie
Dolby Pro Logic II Movie mode
DTS NEO:6 Music
DTS NEO:6 for music
DTS NEO:6 Cinema
DTS NEO:6 for cinema
Some options may not be available if not all satellite
speakers are connected .

Dolby Digital and DTS

When Dolby Digital or DTS-encoded multichannel are
played back, this button is disabled .

Test tone

With this function, you can monitor and set the correct
level for each speaker channel .
• Push the "TEST" button 17 . A test sound ("pink noise")
will be emitted on each speaker one by one .
• You can adjust the volume of the currently active chan-
nel from "–10" to "+10" using the volume buttons 22
"VOL +/–" .
• Select the next channel with the navigation buttons 20
"◀/▶" .
• To stop the test sound, push the "RETURN" button 16 .
We recommend using a Teufel sound-level meter, which
you can order on our website in the accessories area .

Channel level buttons

Here you can increase and decrease the relative volume
for each speaker, even during playback .
• Select the desired speaker by pushing the button 21:
Front L . – Front left
Center – Centre
Front R . – Front right
Side L – Surround left
Sub – Subwoofer
Side R – Surround right
• You can now adjust the relative volume from "–10" to
"+10" using the volume buttons 22 "VOL +/–" .
• To exit the function, push the "RETURN" button 16 .

Tone/LipSync

With the "Tone/LIPSYNC" button 18, you can adjust the
sound and audio delay .

Adjusting the sound

Briefly tap the "TONE/LIPSYNC" button 18 to access two
audio control ranges successively: Treble (high tones),
bass (low tones, bass tones) .
• Now select the range from "–10" (decrease) to "+10"
(increase) with the volume buttons 22 "VOL +/–" .
• Confirm the setting by pushing the button 16 "RE-
TURN" .

Setting audio delay

Push the button 18 "TONE/LIPSYNC" for more than one
second to set the value for audio delay (see the "LIP-
SYNC" menu function on page 12):
• The current setting in milliseconds (ms) appears in the
display panel .
• Set the audio delay from 0 to 200 ms with the volume
buttons 22 "VOL +/–" .
• Push the button 16 "RETURN" to confirm the setting .
