Menu functions

You can operate all functions of the DecoderStation 5 via
the user menu . To use the menu:
• Push the control dial 4 "POWER/SELECT" or the but-
ton 19 "OK" . The "MAIN MENU" will appear on the
display panel 3 .
• Select the desired sub-menu with the control dial 4 or
the buttons 20 "◀/▶" and push the control dial 4 or the
button 19 "OK" .
• The sub-menu will open and you can select the next
sub-menu or change the values with the control dial 4
or the buttons 20 "◀/▶" .
• You can accept the setting by briefly pushing the con-
trol dial 4 or the button 19 "OK" .
• With the button 2 or the "RETURN" button 16, you can
terminate the respective function or abort it and return
to the previous menu .

"INPUT" menu

With the control dial 4 or the set buttons 20 "◀/▶", you
can select the desired source in the following order: 5 . 1 ,
OPTICAL 1/2, COAXIAL 1/2, TV, CD, AUX .

"SURROUND" menu

With the control dial 4 or the set buttons 20 "◀/▶", you
can switch the surround mode for 2-channel-sources in
the following order:
2 . 1 Stereo Stereo only via front left/right and
subwoofer
5 . 1 Stereo Stereo across all channels (upmix)
Dolby PLII Music
Dolby Pro Logic II Music mode
Dolby PLII Movie
Dolby Pro Logic II Movie mode
DTS NEO:6 Music DTS NEO:6 for music
DTS NEO:6 Cinema
DTS NEO:6 for cinema
Some options may not be available if not all satellite
speakers are connected .

Dolby Digital and DTS

Surround mode is fixed for the playback of Dolby Digital
or DTS coded multi-channel tracks . This menu is deacti-
vated as a result . Thus, the Surround mode selection is
deactivated while Dolby Digital or DTS 5 . 1 streams are
playing .
Please keep in mind that very few TV channels offer 5 . 1
audio . Connecting your TV set to the digital input does
not necessarily mean that a 5 . 1 signal is present .

"TONE CONTROL" menu

Treble/Bass

Here you can adjust the sound (treble/high tones and
bass tones) using the volume buttons 22 "VOL +/–" . Pos-
sible values: from –10 dB (decrease) to +10 dB (increase) .
