Operating the PDT 7200
Powering the PDT 7200
A Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack provides power for the PDT
7200. Before powering on the terminal, initialize it and install a new
or fully-charged battery pack. Refer to
on battery packs. Refer to the PDT 7200 Product Reference Guide
for DOS (p/n 72-39656-xx), or PDT 7200 Product Reference
Guide for Windows CE (p/n 72-42246-xx) for information on
initialization.
The terminal powers on when the charged battery is inserted. To
power the terminal off or on again, tap the power icon
touch screen.
Using the Dual Position Trigger
The dual position trigger has two programmable functions that may
be changed during application development.
•
The first trigger position is accessed by pulling the trigger to
the first click. This, for example, may activate the keypad in
Windows CE terminals.
•
The second position is accessed by pulling the trigger the re-
maining distance to the handle. This activates the scanner.
