TROUBLE SHOOTING
Warning! Be sure to always turn the hand wheel towards you (counterclockwise). Turning it the other way may cause
damage to the needle or fabric, and you may be injured.
PROBLEM

The bobbin has been installed incorrectly into
the bobbin case.
The bobbin thread has been threaded incorrectly.
The bobbin thread tension is too tight.
The top thread has been threaded incorrectly.
The top thread tension is too tight.
The thread is too thick or thin for the needle.
The needle has been installed incorrectly.
The thread has got stuck on the spool pins.
The needle is damaged.
The needle has been installed incorrectly or
is damaged.
Wrong presser foot.
The needle has been installed incorrectly or is
damaged.
Force the fabric while sewing.
The thread is too thick.
The retaining ring is not in the correct position,
and the levers are not locked.
Sewing when the presser foot is lifted up.
Turning hand wheel in wrong direction.
Improper threading.
Sewing without fabric in the machine.
Dust accumulated inside the upper thread
tension device.
SOLUTION
Install the bobbin into the bobbin case correctly (see page 12).
Thread the bobbin thread correctly (see page 12).
Reduce bobbin thread tension (see page 23).
Re-thread the sewing machine and the needle
(see page 13).
Reduce the tension (see page 23).
Install a different thread.
Remove the needle and re-install it (see page 22)
Remove the spool of top thread, turn it round so that the thread
comes from the back of the spool, and use the felt pads.
Install a new needle (see page 22).
Remove the needle and re-install it or install a new needle (see
page 22).
Install the correct presser foot.
Remove the needle and install a new one (see page 22).
Feed the fabric while sewing instead of forcing it.
Use a thin thread.
Install the retaining ring and bobbin case according to the
instruction (see page 25 and 26).
Cut the upper thread, remove bobbin case, retaining ring and
shuttle (see page 25) to remove accumulated thread.
Replace the shuttle, retaining ring and bobbin case in the correct
position according to the assembly instructions (see page 26).
Re-thread.
