ORCEFEEDBACK TAB
The Forcefeedback tab allows you to test and adjust the performance of
Forcefeedback effects.
To test the effects, click on each of them in succession. The effect produced is that
which will be applied to your controller.
Dynamic effects correspond to standard effects in a game, such as engine
vibrations or skidding. They are referred to as dynamic effects in that their intensity is
linked to pressure exerted along the axes (for example, corresponding to acceleration
in a car racing game). Static effects correspond to effects generated by an incident in
a game, such as a collision. You may wish to modify the settings if you notice, for
example, that the engine vibration effects are more intense than the effects produced
by a collision. The Master gauge enables you to apply the same intensity to both
dynamic and static effects.
The Spring gauge enables you to adjust the strength of the motors that restore the
game controller to its central position. Check the Always On box to make this
regulation effective in all games, even if certain games do not support Force Feedback
effects.
If your game is not optimized to process Forcefeedback effects along different
axes, check the Map Fore-Alt (Y-axis) forces to Right-Left (X-axis) forces box in
order to apply Forcefeedback effects originally programmed for the Y-axis along the
X-axis, instead.
You are now ready to play!
If you wish to program your Thrustmaster device, please run the Thrustmapper
programming software: right-click on the Thrustmapper icon on the taskbar, then click
on Thrustmapper. A number of presets are available on the product CD-ROM and
on our website (http://www.thrustmaster.com).
