Erasing audio files in
Network Walkman

— Erase function

You can delete unwanted audio files to
effectively free space on Network Walkman.

Display the source list. (page 16)

Rotate the R dial to select "I/O," then
press (MENU).
The menu display appears.

Rotate the R dial to select "Erase,"
then press the R dial.
The confirmation dialog appears.

Rotate the R dial to select "OK," then
press the R dial.

Press (MENU).
The normal display appears.
To cancel erasing
Select "Cancel" in step 5.
Note
The erased contents are temporarily saved in the
Recycle Bin folder.
In the event that you choose not to permanently erase
an item in the Recycle Bin folder, it can be moved from
the Recycle Bin (page 32).
Contents erased from the Recycle Bin are
permanently erased from the HDD.
Once you erase the item, you cannot restore it. Make
sure the item you want to erase before erasing.

Formatting a Network
Walkman
You can initialize a Network Walkman of a
different format or in an unusual condition and
make it usable.

Display the source list. (page 16)

Rotate the R dial to select "I/O," then
press (MENU).

Rotate the R dial to select "Format,"
then press the R dial.
The confirmation dialog appears.

Rotate the R dial to select "OK," then
press the R dial.
Formatting starts.

Press (MENU).
The normal playback display appears.
To cancel formatting
Select "Cancel" in step 4.
Note
You can format Network Walkman NW-E2/E3 only.
