Setting the equalizer

— EQ7

You can select an equalizer curve for 7 music
types (Xplod, Vocal, Club, Jazz, New Age, Rock,
and Custom).
You can store a different equalizer setting for
each source.
Selecting the equalizer curve
SOURCE
L dial

Press (SOURCE) to select a source
(CD, HDD, MEMORY STICK, FM, AM, or
AUX).

Press the L dial.
The sound list display appears.

Rotate the L dial to select "EQ7," then
press the L dial.

Rotate the L dial to select the desired
equalizer curve.
As you rotate the L dial, the equalizer curve
type changes as follows:
Off y Xplod y Vocal y Club y
Jazz y New Age y Rock y Custom
y Off

Press the L dial.
The normal display appears.
To cancel equalizing effect
Select "Off" in step 4.
Note
When DSO is set to "On," equalizer settings are
automatically adjusted for best overall effect.

Adjusting the equalizer curve
You can adjust and store the equalizer settings
for frequency and level.

Press (SOURCE) to select a source
(CD, HDD, MEMORY STICK, FM, AM, or
AUX).

Press the L dial, then rotate the L dial
to select "EQ7."

Press the L dial.

Rotate the L dial to select the desired
equalizer curve.

Press (F2) (TUNE) to adjust equalizer
curve.
Each time you press L dial, the item changes
as follows.

The level is adjustable between –10 to +10
steps.

The normal display appears.
To restore the default setting
Press (F2) (INIT) in step 5.
