Cause
This message appears if you try to
recall or delete a text file from the
memory when none are stored.
This message appears if you try to print
a label or feed the tape when no tape
cassette is installed.
This message appears if the installed
alkaline batteries are about to run
out.
This message appears if there is a
problem with the machine's read
only memory.
This message appears if a 1" (24-mm)
wide tape cassette is not installed when
an auto format layout for a 1" (24-mm)
wide tape is selected.
This message appears if an 3/4" (18-
mm) wide tape cassette is not installed
when an auto format layout for an 3/4"
(18-mm) wide tape is selected.
This message appears if a 1/2" (12-mm)
wide tape cassette is not installed when
an auto format layout for a 1/2" (12-
mm) wide tape is selected.
This message appears if a 3/8" (9-mm)
wide tape cassette is not installed when
an auto format layout for a 3/8" (9-
mm) wide tape is selected.
This message appears if a 1/4" (6-mm)
wide tape cassette is not installed when
an auto format layout for a 1/4" (6-
mm) wide tape is selected.
Remedy
Store a text file first.
Install a tape cassette and try
again.
Replace the batteries or use the
AC adapter.
Turn off the machine, and then
while holding down c and
R, turn the machine back on.
Contact your service representa-
tive.
Install a 1" (24-mm) wide tape
cassette.
Install an 3/4" (18-mm) wide tape
cassette.
Install a 1/2" (12-mm) wide tape
cassette.
Install a 3/8" (9-mm) wide tape
cassette.
Install a 1/4" (6-mm) wide tape
cassette.
