    Your Amigo microphone uses 2 AAA rechargeable NiMH batteries. You can replace your batteries with any of the following: • Special “silver-banded” rechargeable batteries (available from Oticon through your Hearing Care Professional). Only these batteries can be recharged inside your microphone. • Standard rechargeable NiMH batteries These will not recharge inside your microphone, but can be removed for charging in a separate charger.

  • Page 21 Warnings Amigo parts can be dangerous if swallowed: • The Amigo system is not a toy and therefore should be kept out of the reach of children and anyone else who might swallow parts or otherwise cause injury to themselves. Special attention should be paid to the smaller components in order to prevent children from swallowing them and choking.

The system may also produce a high whistling noise (feedback) if the battery is low, or if it is subjected to loud sound while the microphone is off but the receiver is still on.
