Set Up the Product
The Axis product can be configured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product's Setup pages, click Setup in
the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.
• Administrators have unrestricted access to all settings.
• Operators have access to all settings except System Options

Connect the Camera to a Monitor

When the camera is first connected to a monitor and then powered up, the default capture mode is automatically set for viewing the
image stream over HDMI. If the camera is connected to a monitor after power up, restart the camera or set the capture mode to
720p (HDMI)@30/25 fps. This can be done from the Capture mode drop-down list from Video > Camera Settings. This can also be
done from the Configure capture mode window (see Configure Capture Mode on page 8 ) after a factory default (see page 46).

Basic Setup

Basic Setup provides shortcuts to the settings that should be made before using the Axis product:
1. Users. See page 36.
2. TCP/IP. See page 38.
3. Date & Time. See page 38.
4. Video Stream. See page 15.
The Basic Setup menu can be disabled from System Options > Security > Users.
