Find the device on the network To find Axis devices on the network and assign them IP addresses in Windows®, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager. Both applications are free and can be downloaded from axis.com/support. -

1. Open a browser and enter the IP address or host name of the Axis device. If you do not know the IP address, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager to find the device on the network. 2. H.264 can, without compromising image quality, reduce the size of a digital video file by more than 80% compared to the Motion JPEG format and by as much as 50% compared to the MPEG-4 standard. -

IP addresses obtained from a DHCP server are dynamic and may change. If the IP address has been changed by DHCP changed, use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Device Manager to locate the device on the network.
