Safety with children
Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the cook‐
top unless they are constantly supervised.
Children ages 8 and up may only use the cooktop without super‐
vision if they have been shown how to use it in a safe manner, and if
they are able to recognize and understand the potential risks of im‐
proper use.
Children must not be allowed to clean the cooktop without super‐
vision.
Be sure to supervise any children in the vicinity of the cooktop,
and do not let them play with it.
The cooktop gets hot when in use and remains hot for some time
after being switched off. Keep children away from the cooktop until
it has cooled down and is no longer a burn hazard.
Burn hazard.
Keep the spaces above and behind the cooktop clear of any items
that could draw the attention of children. Otherwise, they can be
tempted into climbing onto the appliance.
Risk of burning or scalding.
Turn all handles away from the front of the cooktop so that children
cannot pull pots and pans down and burn themselves.
Risk of suffocation. Children may be able to wrap themselves in
packaging material or pull it over their heads with the risk of suffoca‐
tion. Keep children away from all packaging materials.
