psi. should
be
maintained
at all times.
After
the
car
is loaded, pressure may
be
increased until the
Tear
of the vehicle
reaches
the
desired riding height or to
a
maximum of
90
psi.

The Tilt
and
Telescope
Steering
Wheel
(optional equipment)
can he tilted up
above
normal position to provide
addition-
al room
for
entrance
and
exit
as
well as
selected
driving
positions
at
or
below nor-
mal height. In addition
it
can
be
adjusted
in
and out within a
2%"
range
to
obtain
the most
comfortable
distance between
you
and
the wheel. This
permits
individual
selection of
the most natural position for
all
driving
conditions.
On
long
trips the
steering
wheel position
can
be
changed
to
minimize
tension
and
fatigue.
The
adjust~
rnents
are simple
and independent
of each
other.
The TILT mechanism is operated
hy lift-
ing up
on
the small
control
lever on the
left side of the
steering column
just below
the direction signal lever, moving the
steering wheel to the selected position,
and releasing the
lever.
The
TELE-
SCOPE feature of the
wheel
is
used by
rotating the
locking
lever located on the
top side of the steering
column
above the
steering wheel cover
counterclockwise
to
unlock the mechanism,
sliding
the wheel
into the desired position and turning the
locking lever clockwise
to make the ad-
justment
secure.
Both
the
tilt and
telescope
mechanisms
can he
changed
while
driving but should
not
be
attempted
in heavy traffic. These
features
also
permit maximum ease in
entering and leaving the
car.
The wheel
is
spring-loaded,
so that lifting
the
tilt
lever
automatically
raises the
wheel
to its
uppennost position. Additional
clearance
can
be
obtained
by unlocking the lever
and sliding
the steering wheel all the way
into the
column and
relocking the
lever.

On
this optional
steering wheel,
the hom
control
is
activated by lightly depressing
the soft section located on the inside
cir~
cumference of the steering wheel rim.
Safety
Sentinel
The safety sentinel (optional equipment)
indicator is
set at a desired
speed
by
turn~
ing the
safety
sentinel knob located near
the center of the speedometer cluster.
When the car speed is increased so that
it
reaches or goes beyond the speed set-
ting,
a buzzer warns the driver that he
is exceeding
his
desired
speed.
