TURNING THE CAMERA ON FOR THE
FIRST TIME
Around the silver shutter release button is the On/Off switch. Push the
switch to the right to turn the camera on.
As soon as the camera is turned on the LCD on the back of the cam-
era lights up and the camera asks you to pick a language. Highlight the
language you would like by using the up and down buttons on the multi
selector to the right of the LCD. Once the language you want is high-
lighted, press the OK button in the center of the multi selector.
Next select your time zone. Use the left and right buttons on the multi
selector to move the yellow stripe to the correct time zone. Press the
OK button.
Choose to have Daylight Saving Time on or off. Press the OK button.
Set the date and time. Use the up and down multi selector buttons to
change the numbers. Use
the left and right buttons
to move from one number
box to the next. Press the
OK button when done.
The D60 will then dis-
play "Done" and the LCD
will go dark. Your cam-
era is now ready to take
pictures!
Press the card into the slot until it locks in place.
How to tell if the camera is on or off:
If the LCD screen goes dark you can't know
if the camera is on or off. Near the shutter re-
lease button is a vertical white line (between
the "info" and " /
