9. Setting the date and time (only for 2435)
You can set the date and time using a pencil or paper clip to press the SET (9) and ENT (9) but-
tons under the time display.
1. Press SET twice. On the left-hand side of the display a number between 1 and 12 will appear
for the month. Hold down the ENT button until the current month is displayed. Then release
the ENT button again.
2. Press SET once to save the month and proceed to the date settings.
3. Hold down the ENT button until the current date is displayed. Then release the ENT button
again.
4. Press SET once to save the date and proceed to the hour settings.
5. To set the time repeat the steps as described above (hold down ENT (X), confirm with SET
(X) etc.). Then press the ENT button again (X) to start the clock (the colon will flash every
second).
A Displaying the date and time
To display the date press ENT (X) once.
If you want to have the time and date displayed in alternation, press the ENT button (X) and
release again, and then press SET (X). To switch off this function hold down the ENT button (X)
until the time is displayed.
B Displaying the seconds
When the time is displayed press ENT (X) twice to display the seconds. When the date is dis-
played press ENT (X) once to display the seconds. Then press SET (X) and release the button
again to set the seconds display to "00".
To switch back to the time display press ENT (X) and hold.
10. Problems and troubleshooting
The remote control does not work or loses the entered code
• Use your normal remote control to check that the device is working properly.
• Make sure that you have pressed the mode button that corresponds to the device that is going to
be controlled (e.g TV).
• If the listed device code does not work, try using the AUTOSEARCH method or enter the next
code for this brand.
• To find the code that corresponds to your device use the automatic search (see point 6).
• Check to make sure that the batteries have been inserted correctly (check the polarity!).
• Two CR2032 batteries are required to programme the remote control. If the remote control
loses codes after just a couple of days/weeks this problem can be remedied by using new
batteries from the same brand.
• If the LED is on all the time the batteries will usually need replacing.

The 3in1 / 4in1 universal remote controls should only be used as described in this operating
manual for their intended purpose.

General safety advice
Technical manipulation of the product or changing the product is forbidden on safety/approval
grounds.
Please set the device correctly - follow the instructions in this operating manual. Children
should only use the device when supervised by an adult.
Avoid the following: Heavy mechanical wear and tear, high temperatures,
strong vibrations and heavy humidity
To make sure the device is adjusted properly please read the operating manual and the safety
advice carefully.
Information on the batteries
The remote controls should only be used with two CR2032 batteries – never try to connect the
device to any other source of electricity. Please make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct
when you insert them. Do not short-circuit or charge batteries, risk of explosion. Do not throw
batteries into the fire. Remove the batteries if you do not use your remote control for long periods
of time. This prevents any possible leakages from the batteries.
Keep the batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around as children
or animals could swallow them. If this happens seek immediate medical advice.
Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to burns or corrosion if they come into contact with the
skin. If necessary, use suitable gloves.
Please dispose of batteries in accordance with your country-specific regulations.
Other
To be able to use the remote control you must first select the device you want to control
(TV, SAT, etc) by pressing the device button on the remote control. After this the selected device
can be used as normal.
If you think that your remote control has a problem or is not working properly
take out the batteries and press the different buttons on the remote control to normalise the
learning unit in the remote control. Put the batteries back in again. The remote control should
now work normally again.
Remember that individual buttons on the universal remote control may have different symbols
to those on your normal remote control.
