This operation can
only
be
performed
in
stop
mode.
lf only
disc No. is
entered, and "AL"
appears on
the
display,
all
tracks
on
the
disc can
be
programmed.

is
cancelled
when the track
number
is
entered.

programming
cannot
be
carried
out
during playback.
Direct program
r
Press
the
PGM
button
during normal
playback.
During normal playback, the track being played
can
be programmed.

to enter the
program mode,

you
wish
to
program
the
track currently playing, press
PGM
while the track
is playing.
o
Direct
programming
is
not
possible
during
program playback.
To reserve
the program
o
Press
the
PGM
buüon
during normal
playback,
The unit enters program mode
and
you
can
program while the
song
is
playing back. Program
play
starts
when
either the
current
track
finishes
playback
or
>
is pressed.
Pressing
>
when the
program indicator is lit also starts program
playback.
Programming a pause
lnserting
a
pause in
your
program
can
be
very
useful
when
carrying
out
recording.
Press
instead of entering
a
track
number.
"PAUSE"
appears in
the
display
window.
o
For example,
when
recording
on
both sides.of
a
cassette
tape,
if you
program
a
pause
after the
last track
to
be
recorded
on
the
first
side,
program playback
will
pause at
that point to allow
you
to switch tape
sides. To resume program playback after
the
player
enters
pause
mode,
press
tl.
NOTES:
o
A pause can be
programmed
only
when
the program
procedure
is
pertormed
under
stop
mode.
o
A pause cannot be programmed
at
the beginning
of
a program
(P-01),
nor can
two
pauses
be
programmed
one
after
the other.
o
A pause
inserted
in
a
program
is
counted
as
one step.
To erase a
programmed step
ln
the
program
mode,
press CLEAß.
The last program
step
is
erased and
the
contents
of
the
previous
program
step
are displayed (for
5
seconds during playback).
NOTE:
Tracks
preceding
the currently playing track cannot be erased during
program playback.
