Instruments and Controls
If a tire pressure message displays,
inflate the tires until the tire pressure
is equal to the values shown on the
Tire and Loading Information label.

Transmission Messages

1 4 SHIFT
This message displays when you
can only shift from 1 (First) to
4 (Fourth) instead of 1 (First) to
2 (Second). See Manual

PERFORMANCE MODE
ACTIVATED
This message displays when the
automatic transmission enters
performance mode. See

SERVICE TRANSMISSION
This message displays if there is a
problem with the transmission. See
your dealer.
SHIFT DENIED

This message displays when using

the Active Select mode and
attempting to shift to a gear not
appropriate for the vehicle speed
and engine revolutions per
minute (rpm). See Manual Mode

SHIFT TO PARK
This message displays when the
transmission needs to be shifted to
P (Park). This may appear when
attempting to remove the RKE
transmitter from the vehicle if the
vehicle is not in P (Park).
SPORT MODE ON or SPORT
MODE OFF
These messages display when the
shift lever is moved into or out of
sport shift mode. See Sport Shift
Mode in Automatic Transmission

TRANSMISSION HOT
ENGINE
This message displays and a chime
sounds if the transmission fluid in
the vehicle gets hot. Driving with the
transmission fluid temperature high
can cause damage to the vehicle.
Stop the vehicle and let it idle to
allow the transmission to cool. This
message clears when the fluid
temperature reaches a safe level.

This message displays when ice
conditions are possible.
