Scan

Scan allows you to monitor other channels to detect
conversations. When the radio detects a transmission, it stops
scanning and goes to the active channel. This allows you to
listen and talk to people in that channel without having to
change channel manually. If there are transmissions on
another channel, you will not hear that activity once the radio
has stopped scanning. Once the activity on transmitting
channels stops, the radio waits for 5 seconds before resuming
scan again.

To start scanning, short press the P2 button (The default
setting of side button P2 is 'Scan/ Temporary Delete').

To stop scanning, short press the P2 button again.

By pressing the PTT button while the radio is scanning,
the radio will transmit on the channel which was
previously selected before Scan is activated. If no
transmission occurs within 5 seconds, scanning will
resume.
Note: Whenever the radio is set to Scan, the LED indicator
blinks a green heartbeat.
Nuisance Channel Temporary Delete
Nuisance Channel Temporary Delete feature allows you to
temporarily remove channels from the scan cycle. This feature
is useful when irrelevant conversations on a 'nuisance'
channel ties up the radio's scanning feature.
To delete a channel from the scan cycle:

Start scanning by short pressing the P2 button.

Wait until the radio stops at the channel you wish to
eliminate. Long press the P2 button for 2 seconds to
delete it.

The channel will not be scanned again until you exit this
Scan mode by short pressing the P2 button again or by
turning the radio OFF and back ON.
