2.2 PLUMBING CONNECTIONS KINGSPAN TRIBUNE tanks can be supplied in a single or dual coil configuration. The coils are single wall coils, this allows a variety of heat sources to be used. In the single coil configuration this can be connected to a boiler or solar circuit. Twin coil tanks the lower coil is connected to a solar circuit and the top coil to a boiler system.

Please refer to local code for cold mains pipe work installation. Run the cold main through the building to the place where the KINGSPAN TRIBUNE is to be installed. Take care not to run the cold pipe near hot water or heating pipe work so that the heat pick-up is minimized. Identify the cold water supply pipe and fit an isolating valve (not supplied).
WARNING The expansion tank is an important safety feature of the tank installation. It must be installed and properly sized. Refer to Table.2 for Kingspan supplied sizes. Setting the temperature to 120˚F will reduce the risk of scalds. Please order the correct replacement via Kingspan Solar; fitting non- approved heating elements may affect your warranty.

Before filling, open the hot faucet furthest away from the KINGSPAN TRIBUNE to let air out. Open the cold main isolation valve and allow the unit to fill. When water flows from the faucet allow it to run for a short while to flush through any dirt, swarf or flux residue.

Solar. NEVER bypass any safety devices or operate the unit without them being fully operational. 4.1 DRAINING The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE is fitted with a ½” NPT drain fitting at the base of the tank. An appropriate draining faucet should be installed that can not be accidentally opened.
