Symptom
The plasma monitor
does not react to
commands from the
remote control.
Your Metz product was developed and
manufactured with high-quality materials
and components which can be recycled
and/or re-used.
This symbol indicates that electrical and
electronic equipment must be disposed of
separately from normal garbage at the
end of its operational lifetime.
Please dispose of this product by bringing
it to your local collection point or recy-
cling centre for such equipment.
This will help to protect the environment in
which we all live.
Possible cause
• There is an obstacle between
the remote control and the
plasma monitor.
• Sunlight is shining directly on
the infrared sensor in the plas-
ma monitor.
• The batteries in the remote
control are flat.
• The plasma monitor is not swit-
ched on with the main switch.
• Fault in the internal processor.
• The LVDS cable between the
plasma monitor and the tuner
box is not connected correctly.
Remedies
• Remove the obstacle.
• Ensure that the sun does
not shine on the set.
• Install new batteries.
• Switch on the plasma
monitor set with the
main switch.
• Switch the plasma moni-
tor set off with the main
switch, wait a few
seconds and then switch
it on again.
• Check the connection.
