NEUTRAL SWITCH AND 4WD CUT-OUT SWITCH _______________________________

The traction pedal is designed to return to neutral
whenever the forward or reverse foot pedals are
relaesed. If the tractor continues to creep after the
traction pedal is released, check neutral adjustment and
adjust traction pedal linkage
1. Disconnect pump linkage from traction pedal.
2. With linkage disconnected, check position of return
arm on drive pump. Pointer (E) on arm should be
centered in the sensing area of switch (F).
Note: This switch forms part of the Interlock System and
senses when the traction pedal is in neutral. If the
Interlock System fails to operate properly, have the
switch checked and replaced before operating tractor.
3. To adjust pointer, loosen nuts (G) and adjust screw
(H) in or out as required to obtain correct
adjustment.
4. Check Interlock System and operation of traction
pedal after adjustment is made.
Machines equipped with four wheel drive include a switch
to prevent operation of four wheel drive in reverse. This
switch is located on the same bracket as the neutral
switch.
1. Loosen switch mounting hardware.

TRANSPORT SPEED _______________________________________________________

Before making any speed adjustment at pump, check
that the engine is running at full rpm under load and
throttle lever is adjusted correctly (Section 5.3).
Note: This adjustment is only for adjusting forward
transport speed. To adjust mowing speed, see Section
5.6.
1. Check neutral adjustment and adjust if required.
2. Disconnect rod end (M) from traction pedal.
3. Push traction pedal (N) forward until it touches the
floor panel.
4. Push return arm (K) on drive pump back until it hits
the internal stop on pump housing. In this position
the pump is at full stroke.
5. With both the pump and traction pedal at full
forward stroke, adjust rod end (M) at pedal in or out
as required so it aligns directly with hole (L) in link
arm.
