2.1 – Board Jumpers
PCI slots A1, A2, B1 and B2 are all PCI-X slots while PCI slot C is a conventional 32-bit/33MHz
PCI slot. However, PCI slots A1, A2, B1 and B2 will operate at the speed of the slowest PCI card
that is installed into them. If a 33MHz PCI card is inserted into bus A, both A slots will operate at
33MHz. The same rule applies for Bus B slots.
PCI Slot B1: PCI-X 66/33MHz
-
Onboard SCSI (optional) and LAN (optional) utilizes this slot's resources
-
3.3 volt cards accepted
PCI Slot B2: PCI-X 66/33MHz
-
Onboard SCSI (optional) and LAN (optional) utilizes this slot's resources
-
Supports Adaptec Zero-Channel RAID (Nighthawk)
-
3.3 volt cards accepted
PCI Slot A1: PCI-X 100/66/33MHz
-
Will operate at 100MHz if A1 is used but A2 is not with 100MHz PCI card inserted
-
Will operate at 66MHz if A1 and A2 slots are used simultaneously with 66MHz PCI card
inserted
-
Will operate at 66MHz if PCI-X 66MHz card is inserted
-
Will operate become PCI 64-bit/66MHz if PCI 64-bit/66MHz card is used
-
3.3 volt cards accepted
PCI Slot A2: PCI-X 100/66/33MHz
-
Will operate at 100MHz if A2 is used but A1 is not with 100MHz PCI card inserted
-
Will operate at 66MHz if A1 and A2 slots are used simultaneously with 66MHz PCI card
inserted
-
Will operate at 66MHz if PCI-X 66MHz card is inserted
-
Will operate at PCI 64-bit/66MHz if PCI 64-bit/66MHz card is used
-
3.3 volt cards accepted
PCI Slot C1: PCI 32-bit/33MHz
-
5 and 3.3 volt cards accepted
Bus A, B and C are independent of each other and do not share the same resources.
