The fill character is the character that the display is filled
with on a clear screen from the keyboard or host.
TURNAROUND
00·
The turnaround character is the character which modulates
the RTS during coded turnaround protocol in half duplex. A
null (00 hex) does nothing, Le., RTS is neVler dropped.
XON

The XON character is sent to the host as a handshake protocol
to inform the host that the terminal is able to receive more
data, If the XON is set to 00 hex (null), then it is disabled.
XQFF

The XOFF character is sent to the host as a handshake pro·
tocol to inform the host that the terminal input buffer is
nearly full and may soon overrun. If the XOFF character is
set to
00
hex (null), then it is disabled.

3.3.5 Enter Perlonallty Mode
The eet-up mode also allows the terminal's
personality entries to
be
programmed. While the
terminal is in the 8et-up mode, enter the
personality mode by entering

To
program the terminal personalities, the
hexadecimal equivalent for the characters are
listed in Table 3-4, above. Hex characters DC
through FF may
be
entered as upper- or lower-case
letters but will
be
displayed as upper case.
To display the next personality, preS8 lCTRLII].
To back up and display the previous function,
press
ICTRt]Jg.
After all parameters have been
viewed,
the
terminal
returns to the first
personality
~arameter.
To exit the personality
mode, press SHIFT

Mode
The answerback programming mode is accessible
in the set-up mode by aim ultan, eous

keys. The answerback message may
then be programmed on line 24, i.E!., the 8tatus line.
Thirty-two bytes can
be
prclgrammed into
answerback. All charactelrs typed are
programmed into the answerback message.
As
an option, the answerback Dlessage may

saved in NVM. Answerback prosraID mode is
terminated by entering
