Secton 3 - Configuraton
Configure IP settings for the device. If you are using DHCP for IP
settings, the DNS-313 will have IP settings. The default setting DHCP
Client requires a DHCP server for IP settings. If you prefer to assign
a Static IP address, select the option and type the IP settings for the
device. The DNS-313 supports LLTD for creating a graphical network
map such as used in Windows Vista. To enable LLTD, click the Enable
option to select it. Click Next to continue.
Use the last Wizard input menu to provide a Workgroup name, a
device Name and Description. Click Next to continue to continue to
the last Wizard menu.
If you are satisfied that the information provided in the Setup Wizard
configuration is acceptable, click the Finish button to apply the new
configuration settings. To change a setting click the Back button to go
to previously displayed menus.
If the hard disk has not yet been formatted, use the web manager to
format the hard disk. If the disk has been previously formatted in the
DNS-313, the drive is now ready to be mapped to your computer. See
below for instructions.
