TwinView

TwinView lets you connect two sepa-
rate display devices (analog monitor,
digital flat panel, or TV) to your graph-
ics card.
Standard
When selected (default), the
TwinView function of the card
is disabled.
Extended
Desktop
When
se-
lected, this en-
ables
your
desktop area to be spread across two displays. Ex-
tended Desktop is not supported under Windows 95.
IMPORTANT! If this is your first time to en-
able Extended Desktop on the secondary dis-
play device, make sure to click the secondary
display device icon on the Display Proper-
ties dialog box at the Settings tab of Windows,
select Extend my Windows desktop onto
this monitor and then restart Windows.
To open the Display Properties dialog box at
the Settings tab of Windows, click Start, point
to Settings, click Control Panel, then double-
click Display, and then click Settings or you
may simply point and click the Windows Dis-
play Properties shortcut on the ASUS Con-
trol Panel (see 4. Software Reference | ASUS
Control Panel) and then click the Settings
tab.
Clone
When selected, this enables your desktop area or
the same image to be displayed in the two displays.
Under this mode, you can configure each display
device individually by clicking the appropriate moni-
tor image shown on the Display tab (see 4. Soft-
ware Reference | Display | VGA (Clone mode)).
Virtual Desktop
Virtual Desktop is automatically enabled under
Clone mode when the resolution of the secondary
display is less than that of the primary display de-
vice. The secondary display device functions as a
subset of the primary display to support Virtual
Desktop and the Viewport lock feature.
Disable auto-panning on clone device (viewport
lock), when selected, lets you lock the display po-
sition of the secondary display.
