    1.3.2 Value-added solutions Temperature, fan, and voltage monitoring The CPU temperature is monitored by the ASUS ASIC to prevent overheating and damage. The system fan rotations per minute (RPM) is monitored for timely failure detection. The system voltage levels are monitored to ensure stable supply of current for critical components.

These six 184-pin DIMM sockets support up to 12GB system memory using registered ECC PC2100/1600 DDR DIMMs. ServerWorks ® Bridge (CIOB-X2) provides a high performance data flow path between the IMB and the I/O subsystem, which supports multiple PCI-X interfaces that allows large, efficient, and flexible I/O configurations.

    2.4.3 Installing the CPU heatsink and fan The Intel ® Xeon™ processors require aspecially designed heatsink and fan assembly to ensure optimum thermal condition and performance. Follow these steps to install the CPU heatsink and fan. 1. Place the heatsink and fan assembly on top of the installed CPU, making sure that it fits in place.
