PRIOR TO FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging and transport materials from
the inside and outside of the appliance.
• Wipe the inside and outside surfaces of the
appliance with a damp cloth and let appliance dry.
• Completely unwind the cord.
USE
1. Plug in and switch on the power. The appliance
beeps once and immediately begins to heat up; the
power indicator (b) on the display (2) flashes.
2. Open the lid (1) and add a little grease to the hollow/
hollows of the base part (4). Close the lid again.
. Once the appliance is ready for use the appliance
beeps a few times and the indicator for adding
waffle mix (f) flashes.
4. Open the lid and pour a portion of waffle mix into
the hollow/hollows of the base part.
o Be careful not to add too much waffle mix; the
mix must not spill over the edge of the hollow.
5. Close the lid again and set the cooking time using
the control buttons (). There are 8 settings, where 1
corresponds to 1 minute, and 8 corresponds to 4.5
minutes.
o Press the button + or – until the required number
of columns are shown on the power indicator.
Each time you press the button, the time
increases or decreases by 0 seconds.
o When the waffles are cooking, the symbol for
cooking waffles (e) flashes together with the
symbol for lightly cooked waffle (a) or thoroughly
cooked waffle (c) depending on the chosen
setting (1-4 for lightly cooked waffle and 5-8 for
thoroughly cooked waffle).
o The appliance remembers the setting so you can
cook several waffles with the same cooking time.
o If you do not set the time, the appliance will use
the default setting of 5 columns. This
corresponds to  minutes and the result is a
golden waffle.
6. Once the waffles are cooked, the appliance beeps
several times and the symbol for cooked waffle (d)
flashes. Open the lid and remove the cooked waffles
with a wooden or plastic spatula. Never use metal
utensils as they may scratch the non-stick coating
of the appliance.
7. Remove the plug from the socket once you have
finished using the appliance.
Caution! You may experience a small amount of smoke
or odour the first few times the appliance is used.
This is due to excess material from the manufacturing
process being burnt off. This is completely normal, and
the smoke/smell will soon disappear.
Caution! The appliance has an auto-stop function
automatically turning off the appliance if it has been
switched on for more than 0 minutes after heating up
or completing cooking of the last waffle without being
used. In order to use the appliance again, unplug the
appliance and plug it in again to reset it.
STORAGE
• Ensure that the appliance is clean, dry and
completely cool before storing it.
• Store the appliance in a clean and dry place, for
instance in its box.
• Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance.
• The cord must not be twisted or wound around the
appliance.
• Never hang the appliance by the cord.
CLEANING
• Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the
appliance to cool down before cleaning.
• The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in
water or any other liquid.
• Clean the appliance by wiping it with a damp cloth.
A little detergent can be added if the appliance is
heavily soiled.
• Never use a scouring pad or any form of strong
solvent or abrasive cleaning agent to clean the
appliance, as those may damage the inside and
outside surfaces of the appliance.
• Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before
storing it.

The guarantee does not apply:
• if the above instructions are not followed
• if the appliance has been interfered with
• if the appliance has been mishandled, subjected to
rough treatment, or has suffered any other form of
damage
• if faults have arisen because of faults in your
electricity supply.
