1. Stop the sprayer at the bottom of its stroke to get
the crank

must be lowered manually, carefully rotate

Loosen the jam nut

Unscrew and remove the displacement pump.

screws and lockwashers

8. Use e 5/32" hex key wrench to remove the two
screws end lockwashers (21, 63) from the top rear
of
the front end bell (E).
9. Lightly t a ~ the lower rear of the drive housina with
a plastic mallet to loosen it from the motor front end
bell. Then pull the housing off.
CAUTION
DO NOT ellow the gear cluster (9) to fall when
removing the drive housing

damaged if dropped.

10. Inspect the drive housing for damage end replace

11. Pull the crankshaft (27) out. Inspect for wear or
damage and replace, if needed. Be sure a washer
(ma,
27bl is placed on each side of the crankshaft
assembly.

Remove the connecting rod

or damage, and replace if needed.
13. Evenly lubricate the inside of the bronze bearing in
the drive housing (18) with high quality motor oil.

16. Clean the mating surfaces of the drive housing (181
and front end bell (E).
17. Carefully align the drive housing and front end bell
with the locating pins, then push the drive housing
onto the end bell or tap
it
into piece with a plastic
mallet.
18. Install the screws and lockwashers

tighten evenly.
CAUTION
DO NOT use~the drive housing screws to try to
align or seat the housing, which would cause im-
proper alignment and premature bearing weer.
