HDMI Control Function
When you make an HOMI connection with a TV or player
compatible with AVR-1610 and HOMI control functions, you can
perform the following operations by setting the HOMI control
function of each device.
o
AVR-1610 power off can be linked to theTV power
off step

When you set "Output audio from amp" in the
N
audio
output setup operation, you can switch the amp power
on.
o
You can switch audio output devices with a TV
operation
o
You can adjust AVR,1610 volume in theN volume
adjustment operation
o
You can switch AVR-1610 input source through
linkage to TV input switching
o
When playing the player, the AVR-1610 input
function switches
to
the function of that player
oTo play the N's sound on the AVR-1610, make optical digital
connections (iGf'page 13 "Connecting the
N").
oTo use this function, set "HOMI Control" (iGf'page 27) to "ON".

oWhen you power off AVR-1610, the HOM I control function does not
operate.
oSome functions may not operate depending on the connected
TV or player. Check the owner's manual of each device for details
beforehand.
o When "HOMI Control" is set to "ON", it is not possible to assign an
HOMI connector to "TV" at "HOMI" (&"page 27).

Turn the power on for all the equipment connected by
HDMlcable.

Set the HDMI control function for all equipment
connected by HDMI cable.
Set "HOMI Control" ((iFpage 27) to
"ON':

Please refer to the owner's manual as regards setting of connected
devices.

Carry out Steps 1 and 2 should any of the equipment be
unplugged.

Switch the television input to the HDMI connected to
the AVR-1610.

Switch the AVR-1610 input to the HDMI input source
and check
if
the picture from the player is ok.

When you turn the TV's power to standby, check that
the power of the AVR-1610 and player also goes on
standby.
If the HOMI control function does not operate properly, check the
following points.
o Is the TV or player compatible with the HOMI control function?
o Is the AVR-161 0 properly set

ols "HOMI Control" (iGf'page 27) set to "ON"?
o Is "Power Off Control" (iGf' page 27) set to "ON"?
oAre the HOMI control function settings of all equipment correct?

Should any of the operations below be performed, the interlocking
function may be reset, in which case, repeat step's 1 and 2
o Menu" HOMI" (iGf'page 27) setting has changed.
oThere is a change to the connection between the equipment and the
HOM I, or an increase in equipment.
Setting the power to standby
after a certain amount of time
(Sleep
Timer-Eunction) ---
This function allows you to automatically set the power to
standby after the set amount of time has passed.

and display the time you want to set.
The "SLEEP" indicator on the display lights.

o The time switches as shown below each time

o The time display turns off after about 5 seconds, and the
setting is activated.
• Once the set time has passed, the power is automatically set
to standby.

To cancel the sleep timer

Playing the picture of a different
input source without changing
the currently playing sound
(Video Select Function)
Switch video input source while listening to audio signal.

• It is not possible to select HOM I input signals.
o When playing HOMI video input signals, the analog video signal of
another input source cannot be selected for the HOMI video output.
• Input sources for which "Oelete" is selected at "Source Oelete"
((iFpage 28) cannot be selected.
• Input sources for which "None" is selected at "Assign" ((1T'page 31)
cannot be selected.
