Replacing Adjustable Tension Seat Upholstery

WARNING
After any adjustments, repair or service and before use, make sure all attaching hardware is tightened securely. Otherwise injury or
damage may occur.
The seat upholstery and/or cushion MUST be cleaned regularly and/or replaced if incontinence is frequent. The risk of pressure sores is
significantly higher with seat upholstery that is wet and/or soiled.
1.
Remove the seat cushion and back upholstery.
2.
Unlatch the five adjusting straps that secure the seat upholstery to the wheelchair frame. Remove the existing seat upholstery.
3.
Place the wheelchair back onto all four wheels.
Right and left is determined by sitting in the wheelchair.
The seat upholstery MUST be positioned with the three
rear adjusting straps towards the rear of the top
crossbar for proper installation.
Make sure the rear retaining flap is between the
wheelchair frame and the back post support brackets
(adjustable backs only).
4.
Position new seat upholstery onto the wheelchair frame, ensuring the
five adjusting straps hang over the right and left sides of the wheelchair.
5.
Pull the front adjuster straps around and under the wheelchair frame
top bars.
6.
Slip front adjuster strap through corresponding anchor loop and adjust
the seat upholstery to desired tension. Secure the adjustment straps.
7.
Securely latch the four remaining adjuster straps together.
8.
Reinstall the seat cushion and back upholstery.
