(2) Look into the eyepiece with your right or
left eye, and adjust the brightness of the
viewfield by turning the brightness
control dial.
Turning the dial clockwise increases the brightness;
turning the dial counterclockwise decreases it.)
(3) Looking into the eyepiece, slowly rotate
the coarse focus knob to lower the stage.
When the specimen image appears, stop
rotating the knob.
Do NOT turn the coarse focus knob further
after the stage has reached its lower limit.
This operation will damage the focusing
mechanism.
(4) Rotate the fine focus knob and precisely
focus on the image.
Do NOT turn the right and left focus knobs
simultaneously in opposite directions. This
operation will damage the focusing
mechanism.
