EPX Panel Heater with RXPW1 Programmer
This guide is for quick reference only. Refer to EPX/RXPW1 installation and operating instructions for further information.

Thermostat: slide the thermostat control to the appropri-
ate position to give comfort level required.
Heater will automatically switch on and off as necessary to
maintain the selected temperature. A higher setting will
make the room warmer.

Power ON indicator: Illuminates when power switch in

Heat indicator: Illuminates when the heater is delivering
heat
RXPW1 programmer set up
To program the RXPW1 for the first time, it will need to be plugged
into the heater to charge up.
When operated in the heater, the display is lit (blue); this turns off
after a short period of inactivity.
When removed from the heater for programming, the display is not
lit.
MODE selection
There are three different operat-
ing modes. Press MODE to cycle
through these:
MAN OFF heating is perma-
nently off
MAN ON heating is permanently
on (cycles on thermostat)
AUTO operates the heating in
conjunction with the program

EPX panel heaters are fitted with an integral
thermostat and On/Off switch.
With the addition of an RXPW1 controller, the
heater can be programmed to automatically
switch on/off at different times of the day and
control up to 10 slave heaters on the same
time program (linked via pilot wire)
The RXPW1is fitted by removing the plastic
cover adjacent to the thermostat and simply
slotting into place.
The RXPW1 may be removed from the for easy
programming if required.
Set the time and day
Press the PROG key once to set
the time/day.
The
symbol appears on the
screen.
Set the hours using the
Press ENTER and repeat the proc-
ess to set the minutes.
Press ENTER and use the
keys to select the day (M, T, etc).
Set the weekday/weekend programs
Up to 4 program (on/off) periods
can be set in 2 separate blocks
(weekdays and weekends).
Press PROG twice.
P1 ON is displayed with markers
next to M,T,W,T,F denoting the
first ON time setting for the first
block (weekdays)
Set the hours/minutes for
the first On period using the
buttons, in the same way as for setting time (above).
Note, the minutes are set in 10 minute blocks.
Once the P1 ON time is set, press ENTER and set the P1 OFF time
(i.e. the time at which the heater should switch off).
Repeat the procedure for P2 - P4 for as many on/off periods as
required for the weekdays.
If less than 4 on/off periods are
needed, simply leave the unneeded
periods in their default setting.
After programming P4, the display
automatically shows P1 ON for
block 2 (weekends).
Repeat the procedure above to set
up to 4 new on/off periods for Sat-
urday and Sunday.
Program Advance
When in AUTO mode, to "Advance" the program to the next time
block, press the
button for 2 seconds.
"ADVANCE" appears on the display.
Press and hold
for 2 seconds to cancel the program advance.
