Charging the battery

When charging, the charger must be placed in a well
ventilated area and under a roof to keep out moisture.
1 Make sure that the power switch is in the 0 position.
2 Connect the battery charger to the voltage and frequency
specified on the charger's type plate. The charger must be
connected to a grounded outlet socket.
3 The charger is plugged into the charging socket at the rear
of the machine under the charging cover. Open the
charging cover.
4 Connect the charger to the battery socket. The plug and
socket fit only one way. Press in the plug and lock it in
place.
5 Activate the charger by pressing the power switch.
6 When the battery charger is connected to the grid, a red
lamp lights up on the battery charger.

7 The display on the battery charger indicates how much
