Connecting monitor equipment

The VC-50HD provides an HDMI output connector. You can set up an inexpensive monitoring
environment by connecting this to a television or personal computer display equipped with an HDMI
input.
* Up/down conversion, I/P conversion, and frame rate conversion are not performed for the HDMI output
either.
* The audio channels that are output via HDMI are as follows.
• For HD/SD-SDI input
• For IEEE 1394 input
* Switching the input signal to the VC-50HD while a device remains connected to the HDMI output connector,
or frequently connecting or disconnecting a device at the HDMI output connector, may in rare cases result in
the picture or audio failing to be output properly, depending on the device connected to the HDMI output
connector.If this occurs, reset the power to the VC-50HD or the HDMI device.
* Problems such as faulty contact can also impede correct output of video or audio. Use high-quality HDMI
cables.
* The HDMI connector is a precision parts.Handling carefully to prevent contact failure and trouble.

Using the SDI thru-out

If the SDI output of a camera or other device is being input to the VC-50HD and you want the signal to
be output to a video mixer or other device in addition to a video recorder, you can use the HD/SD-SDI
output/thru-out connector.
