Fuel tap

OFF The fuel tap is turned off in this position. No fuel can flow to the car-
buretor.
ON Turn the twist grip to the ON position when operating the motorcycle
to allow the fuel to flow to the carburetor. The tank will empty down
to approx. 2.5 liters reserve fuel.
RES Approx. 2.5 liters of reserve fuel will not be used until the twist grip is
moved into the RES position. Refuel as soon as possible and remember
to turn the twist grip back into the ON position to ensure you will
have reserve fuel next time.

Shift lever

The shift lever is mounted on the left side of the engine. The position of the
gears is shown in the illustration. The neutral or idle position is between 1st
and 2nd gear.

Kickstarter

The Kickstarter is mounted on the left side of the engine. The upper part is
tiltable.

Foot brake pedal

The foot brake pedal is located in front of the right footrest. The basic set-
ting can be adjusted to suit your seating position (see Maintenance Work).
