Symptom:
(2550) DVD Play may experience a loss of Audio/Video sync. The lip-sync offset may
have 0.1 to 0.5 second duration. Also, the units may not display Sub Titles.
The above symptoms may occur with some DVD titles.
Solution: Confirm the serial number of the target units. Replace the SYSCON ROM. to
Version 2.2 or Ver 1.6 ( depending on Model ) . Remove and replace IC205 or
IC206 (depending on the IC package type). Each model has a different part
number for SYSCON ROM. Order the specific ROM from the table below.
This replacement should be done to models below regardless. If Out of
Warranty units are being serviced for only symptoms listed above, then
service is done as In - Warranty Status.
