    GETTING STARTED KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors • Press the LOCK button once to lock all the doors. Press the UNLOCK button once to unlock the driver’s door only and twice within five seconds to unlock all the doors. •...

    GETTING STARTED REMOTE START • Press the REMOTE START button on the Key Fob twice within five seconds. Pressing the REMOTE START button a third time shuts the engine off. • To drive the vehicle, press the UNLOCK button and cycle the ignition to the ON/RUN position.

    GETTING STARTED SEAT BELT • Be sure everyone in your vehicle is in a seat and using a seat belt properly. • Position the lap belt across your thighs, below your abdomen. To remove slack in the lap portion, pull up a bit on the shoulder belt. To loosen the lap belt if it is too tight, tilt the latch plate and pull on the lap belt.

    GETTING STARTED SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) — AIR BAGS • This vehicle has Advanced Front Air Bags for both the driver and right front passenger as a supplement to the seat belt restraint system. The Advanced Front Air Bags will not deploy in every type of collision.

    GETTING STARTED CHILD RESTRAINTS • Children 12 years and under should ride properly buckled up in a rear seat, if available. According to crash statistics, children are safer when properly restrained in the rear seats rather than in the front. •...

    GETTING STARTED WARNING! • In a collision, an unrestrained child, even a tiny baby, can become a projectile inside the vehicle. The force required to hold even an infant on your lap could become so great that you could not hold the child, no matter how strong you are. The child and others could be severely injured or killed.
  • Page 20 GETTING STARTED Manual Seat Adjustment Forward/Rearward • Lift up on the adjusting bar located at the front of the seat near the floor and release at the desired position. Then, using body pressure, move forward and backward on the seat to be sure that the seat adjusters have latched.

    GETTING STARTED REAR SEAT Folding Rear Seatback • Pull on the loops, located near the outer top of the seatbacks, to fold down either or both seatbacks. These loops can be tucked away when not in use. • When the seatback is raised to the upright position, make sure it is latched by strongly pulling on the top of the seatback above the seat loop.

    GETTING STARTED NOTE: The front heated seats can also be selected from the Uconnect® startup screen when the vehicle ignition switch is first cycled to the ON/RUN position.     OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS • A long break-in period is not required for the engine and drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle. • Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80 or 90 km/h) are desirable.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE POWER SUNROOF Manual Open/Close • Press and hold the switch rearward to open or forward to close the sunroof. Any release of the switch will stop the movement, and the sunroof will remain in a partially open or closed position until the switch is pressed again.

    OPERATING YOUR VEHICLE WARNING! • Do not let children play with the sunroof, or leave children unattended in the vehicle with the key fob in or near the vehicle. Occupants, particularly unattended children, can become entrapped by the power sunroof while operating the power sunroof switch.

    ELECTRONICS Uconnect® 200 NOTE: • Your radio may not be equipped with the Uconnect® Voice Command and Uconnect® Phone features. To determine if your radio has these features, your vehicle will have Uconnect® Voice Command and Uconnect® Phone buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.

NOTE: Time format has the options of 12HR or 24HR. Selecting one of these options will change the way the clock is displayed.

The TPMS malfunction indicator is combined with the low tire pressure telltale. When the system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for approximately one minute and then remain continuously illuminated.

To ease the installation process for steel wheels with wheel covers, install two wheel bolts on the wheel which are on each side of the valve stem.     WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES TIREFIT KIT • Small punctures up to 1/4 in (6 mm) in the tire tread can be sealed with TIREFIT. Foreign objects (e.g., screws or nails) should not be removed from the tire. TIREFIT can be used in outside temperatures down to approximately -4°F (-20°C).
