show counters <mod/port>
This command displays hardware counters for the port and will vary depending on the type of port. See the
Seeing errors on the ports section of this document for troubleshooting steps. Refer to the show counters
command for more information.

clear counters

This command is used to reset the show port, show mac, and show counter statistics. It is useful for the
determination of errors that continue to increment or have been resolved.

show cdp neighbors detail
This command shows details about remote Cisco devices using CDP. This is one quick way to get the IP
address and interface of a Cisco device on any given switchport. Refer to the show cdp neighbors detail
