Storing Your Honda
Pour a tablespoon (15 20 cm ) of clean engine oil into the
cylinder and cover the spark plug hole with a piece of cloth.

With the engine stop switch in the OFF (
start button several times to crank the engine and distribute the oil.
(TRX450R)
With the engine stop switch in the OFF (
kickstarter several times to crank the engine and distribute the oil.
Reinstall the spark plug and spark plug cap.
8. (TRX450ER only)
Remove the battery and charge it fully. Store it in an area protected
from freezing temperatures and direct sunlight. Slow charge the
battery (page 163 ) once a month.
The battery gives off explosive hydrogen gas
during normal operation.
A spark or flame can cause the battery to
explode with enough force to kill or seriously
hurt you.
Wear protective clothing and a face shield, or
have a skilled mechanic do the battery
maintenance.
9. Wash and dry your ATV. Wax all painted surfaces.
