DRIVING NOTES
Vehicle Control
Do not coast the vehicle when the
engine is not running.
Otherwise many systems (e.g. brake
booster, power steering) will not work.
Driving in this way is dangerous to
yourself and others.
Pedals
Mats must not be placed in the pedal
area. This may obstruct the pedal travel.
Emergency Actions
Caution
-
Do not operate starter motor for
more than 10 seconds at a time.
If the engine does not start, wait
-
10 seconds before trying again.
This will prevent starter motor
damage and battery discharge.
Puncture during driving
When driving, turn on the hazard
flashers if a tire is punctured. Hold the
steering wheel firmly, lift your foot off
the accelerator pedal, and slow the
vehicle gradually. Press the brake pedal
Driving and Operating 83
gently and drive the car into a safe area
to change the tire.
Warning
Do not brake suddenly when a tire is
punctured. Sudden braking may
cause the vehicle to swing to one side
and cause accidents.
Faults during driving
When a fault occurs while driving, turn
on the hazard flashers. Park the vehicle
in a safe area at the roadside.
A warning triangle should be placed
behind the vehicle at a distance of 50 m
during the day or 100 m at night.
A warning triangle is stored in the rear
compartment at the time of vehicle
delivery.
Consult your CHEVROLET retailer for
inspection and repair.
Caution
Continuing to drive a vehicle with
problems may cause accidents.
