Maintenance Chart

Please note that the following maintenance intervals apply for normal operating
conditions only. If your daily working time is longer than normal or cutting conditions are difficult
(very dusty work area tropical wood etc.) shorten the specified intervals accordingly.

Filter in fuel tank
Fuel tank
Chain oil tank
Chain lubrication
Saw chain
Guide bar
Chain sprocket
Air filter
Cooling inlets
Cylinder
Carburetor
Spark plug
All accessible screws and nuts
(not adjusting screws)
Rubber vibration buffers
Muffler
Chain catcher

Visual inspection (condition, leaks)
Clean
Check operation
Check operation
Clean by STIHL dealer

Clean, replace filterelement
Replace pick-up body

Inspect, also check sharpness
Check chain tension

Clean and turn over
