A parity group is a mode of disk operation and configuration. It is
synonymous with the term "array group."
Dividing a specific physical disk according to the HP-UX kernel or device
driver layer into two or more areas as if there are two or more physical
disks.
Paths are created by associating a port, a target, and a LUN ID to one or
more LDEVs.

The number of supported ports on an XP disk array depends on the number
of supported I/O slots and the number of ports available per I/O adapter.
The XP family of disk arrays supports SCSI, Fibre Channel (FC/AL),

disk array.
Ports are named based upon their port group and port letter. Examples of
port names include CL1-A through CL1-R and CL2-A through CL2-R
(letters I and O are skipped).
