Drain the brake system.

Caution:
Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with
painted parts of the motorcycle, because brake fluid
attacks paint.
•
Remove fuel tank.
•
Remove brake lines.
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.

Caution:
Replace sealing rings for brake line.
Secure brake line to master cylinder so that it can-
not become kinked or abraded when the handlebar
is turned.
Fill and bleed the brake system.
X
Tightening torque:
Brake hose and brake line............................ 18 Nm
Bleed screws in front brake caliper .............. 14 Nm
Bleed screw in rear brake caliper ................... 6 Nm
Bleed screw in ABS unit................................. 9 Nm
