Removing a used print cartridge

Make sure the printer is on.

Lift the access cover.
The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy.

Press down on the cartridge carrier lever to raise the cartridge carrier lid.

Remove the used print cartridge.
To recycle the used cartridge, see "Recycling Lexmark products" on page 28.
If the cartridge you removed is not empty and you want to use it later, see "Preserving the print cartridges" on
page 27.
