The flue and engine must be installed before the wall can be lined. Remember that both gas and
electricity are required within the cavity (see, "Gas & Electrical Supplies" on page 12).
IMPORTANT
The framing must be self supporting and not place any load on the engine.
The framing shown is indicative only is not intended to illustrate the construction method. The
installation shows one flue option (using the optional Y-Piece) but does not represent a complete
system.
The appliance should be installed on a solid platform.
Gas and power supply must enter through the left hand end of the engine when viewed from the
open side.
Refer to the next section for notes on external wall installation.
When engine installation is complete, the fitting of cardboard from the packaging material to the
front flanges on both sides of the appliance with some low-tac masking tape will help to protect
the appliance from dust, paint, etc. of subsequent construction drawing into the appliance or
marking the glass.

front of the fire if installed less than
300mm from the floor.

If fire is to be installed on an external wall, an
additional piece of glass is required that is at least
over
25mm larger than the flange of the fire (1350 x 650)
and can be fixed to the fire using an adhesive or
double sided tape rated to at least 120°C.
