The user name is admin. The default password is password. The user name and
password are case-sensitive.
4. Click the OK button.
The BASIC Home screen displays.
5. Select ADVANCED > USB Storage > Advanced Settings.
6. Specify access to the storage device:
• Network Device Name. This is the name used to access the USB device that is
connected to the modem router.
• Workgroup. This is the name of the workgroup that the USB device is a member of. By
default, the name is Workgroup. The name works only in an operating system that
supports NetBIOS, such as Microsoft Windows.
• Access Method. Select the check boxes for the access methods that you want to
allow:
- Network Connection. Enabled by default. You can type \\readyshare to access
the storage device within your network. If you change the name in the Network
Device Name field from readyshare to another name, the link changes
accordingly.
- FTP. Disabled by default. If you enable this feature, you can type
ftp://readyshare.routerlogin.net/shares to access the storage device within
your network and download or upload files. The default port is number 21.
- FTP (via Internet). Disabled by default. If you enable this feature, remote users
can type ftp://<public IP address/shares> (for example, ftp://1.1.10.102/shares) to
access the device over the Internet and download or upload files. If you set up
